Introduction

Juggling Ensemble

The Circular Cloverleaf Blind Juggler (CCBJ) pushes the boundary of sensorless robotic juggling even further. Developed in the Bachelor Thesis of Alessandro Schär, the CCBJ features four tilted paddles that result in a circular ball motion where the ball bounces from paddle to paddle.

The Juggling Ensemble is a concept for an installation based on the Blind Juggler. The computer animation was designed and rendered by Carolina Reuse (neé Flores) based on physical simulation data. The physics-based simulation includes a process-noise model derived from measurement data obtained with the Blind Juggler. Therefore, the animation is a realistic depiction of what can be achieved with an implementation of the concept.
